Homeownership -- BRING IT ON!

Yup, that's right -- we bought a house! It is officially ours. Financing and all is done! It is a great place, just perfect for us. We take possession the 31st -- that's only 36 days away -- wow...can I pack in that short of time? We shall see -- I will post pictures as soon as I have them. If you have any horror stories of homeownership -- please share! LOL -- something ... er... um...look forward to?

Does it ever seem like you are living life, but somehow your life is being lived without you?

I guess that since I actually have a few hours to myself today that I am thinking -- sheesh, it is Wednesday already? What happened to the beginning of the week? I need to slow down and breathe. I am going through the motions of life without really living life.

I am too busy. That's just it.

I am trying to do anything and everything even offered in my general direction. I love my job(s) but love life more.

I am resolving today to enjoy me more. Enjoy my hubby more. And Enjoy life more!

So close...but just not lucky!

Well, we didn't get the house :( We are really sad, but we are going to look at a WHOLE bunch more. Even one in the same complex as the one we wanted ... we will get over it.

A house -- and it could be ours?????

Well, I have worked out twice this week, and I plan on going today! We did the before pictures on Thursday -- I am motivated!!!!!!!

Anyway, that's not the big exciting news today -- we found a house -- well, okay, so it's a townhouse -- but it could be ours! WE LOVE IT! There is nothing we would have to change in it -- it feels like a home!

The pictures on there don't do it justice -- it is SO nicely renovated. And, the big seller for us -- NO CONDO FEES! It is in Midnapore, which is farther south than we would have wanted -- but it is fabulous! And the basement is finished, BUT it is just a big open room, so HELLO studio! Carbs, Cheese, and Dips -- what more could a girl want?

A bunch of girlfriends and I were out for our monthly gathering at Moxies (or sometimes Cheesecake Cafe) and we got talking about working out and all that fun stuff (while we ate carb loaded, cheese loaded appetizers :) )Two of my friends live by the Talisman and are going to go there, and then one of the girls and I got talking, and we have a gym membership at the same gym that we both don't really use -- HELLO! I finally found a workout buddy.

The group of us decided to go all out on this and we are doing before and after pictures -- WHICH WILL NEVER SEE THE LIGHT OF DAY. And we are going to check in at our monthly gatherings with each other. It will be fun! We range in sizes and weights and goals, so it will be great to see the end results.

I hate being not-so-skinny. I hate not fitting into my cute clothes that I have from when I was first married. I hate it! I hate it!

I loathe it.

It is my own fault, I recognize that. (Isn't that the first step in something?)

But, I have resolved that I am going to be skinny again.

I used to like working out, when I didn't feel my butt jiggle. (Only Jell-o should jiggle).

I used to like working out when I could wear cuter clothes to the gym -- no one wants to see me in those now -- ewww (back to the Jell-o thing...)

Well, if I was mean I would put my before picture up -- HA HA HA HA HA HA I don't have the guts to do that. And, then my site would become R-rated. And that would be just plain mean to make people look at that. Also, I want people to look at my blog, not cry with a scary picture.

So, I have resolved to do this. I will keep you updated on the journey.

I am only asking for today to be 34 hours long.

Do you ever have days where you calculate the number of hours it will take you to do the things you HAVE to do that day, and the number of hours in the day, and you end up in the hole?

I have hours and hours of transcription work to do today, which I am not the least motivated to do.

I have a few hours of captioning to do today.

I need to work on church stuff for a few hours.

And my house is a disaster. I think overnight a tornado went through my house and destroyed it. I don't know how it gets so messy so fast. I swear I clean my house. It seems like I am cleaning alllll day long.

Anyway, I better stop blogging and get working.

Sometimes I wonder about this self-employed stuff LOL.

A boring topic on Government and Money...

Okay, so here is a boring topic, but it is something I have hated since it came into practice in Canada.

G S T!

I think this is really just a game the government is playing, by teasing me into thinking I have all this extra money, and then I have to file my GST return and wham -- next minute, I'm poor. I have to file my GST quarterly and it about kills me every time.

Why should I have to take the time to collect it and then make my way to my bank to pay it, which, by the way, costs me money because I have self-directed/internet banking only, so when I go into the branch it costs me money. I growl at the bank for that too...

This is ridiculous.

Okay, okay. I know I shouldn't complain that much, since I love my job and I love only working a few days a week.

But still...I hate GST.

My mom always said I should write a book entitled "A Day in the Life of a Blonde." So here I am. Okay, so it isn't a book -- but it's as close as it will be for now.
