Turkey, tazers and too much fun!!!

For so many reasons I love my husband, but yesterday one of my favourite reasons -- AMERICAN THANKSGIVING!!!!!!!!!!! Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.....I make a gooooooood Thanksgiving dinner! I made the buns (aka rolls) from scratch. I got up at 6 a.m. so they could rise twice and be out of the oven in time for the turkey to go in. I also make great stuffing (thanks, Mom!). I also made my sister-in-law's sweet potatoes recipes, which primarily consists of sugar and butter -- mmmmmmmmm.......I made a jell-o which turned out really runny and really unappetizing! Brian made the turkey and the mashed potatoes...mmmmmmmm -- he makes a mean turkey! I made turkey gravy from the drippings.....YUMMY! I also made my mother-in-law's cranberry recipe, which was a hit too! I made both pecan and pumkins pies for dessert, as well as a square for those that don't like pie.

Yes, the title does mention tazers. Well, one of my friends that came, her husband is a cop and he said he might try and stop by on his shift. Well, I thought he'd be busy, so I didn't really think he would stop by -- but he did, uniform and all! His partner came in too and they actually both had a piece of pie. I thought maybe they would just say hi, but they sat down and chatted! It was awesome! Then, my friend's partner brought out his tazer gun! SOOOOO COOL!!!! 50,000 volts would hurt, that's all I have to say about that!

All right, so that was the goods from yesterday. We had 22 people here, which included two babies! Our house isn't all that big, but it was SOOOO fun packing everyone in and enjoying the company. I loved it ... now my house seems so quiet -- kinda lonely! We mingled new-found friends with old friends and we had so much fun! And, of course, we had to feed our American missionaries! They gave us thank you cards with turkeys on them -- he he he.

Anyway, fun was had by all! No disasters with our cooking, other than the jell-o that was a flop, but no one cared! Hope all you American friends out there had a good Thanksgiving!

Books...

Have you read any good books lately? I am reading everything within my reach lately, and I just can't get enough of reading! I love book recommendations and movie recommendations, although, I love reading more than watching movies.
