I'm in the Moutains -- and I'm in Heaven

So I know I haven't written in a while, but life has been CRAZY with the house and with a vacation coming up. Well, I'm on vacation as we "speak" and I love it! We are in Big Sky, Montana, about an hour from Yellowstone National Park. We are staying a beautiful "rustic-type" resort.

This morning we took the gondola up the side of the mountain and we had a guide that told us everything about the mountains in this area and the animals and all that fun stuff. He was born and raised in Big Sky, and he knew a lot for a 25-year-old. We didn't get to see any wildlife, but for a few chipmunks.

We are having a relaxing time, thank goodness. I need a vacation. Although, as much as I love my in-laws...it still can't be a vacation when you are with the in-laws. It just isn't the same as going alone.

Okay. So, let me ramble about the mountains some more. I grew up an hour from the mountains, and on clear days, we could see them. Who knew that different mountains could be so much fun!? It is interesting to see the different people and the locals, and to see how things are here, even though I grew up near the Rockies.

These are beautiful mountains and this is a nice area. It isn't as commercialized as Banff or Jasper. At least Big Sky isn't; we will see about Yellowstone.

Anyway, if I had remembered to bring my USB cord for my new digital camera, I could have uploaded pictures with this blog. Oh, well, later, I suppose. Probably when I get around to doing the house pictures.

Where is your favourite place to visit in the mountains?

BOXES BOXES EVERYWHERE

Help...I'm drowning in boxes...no, really, I am.
BUT, it feels good to know that it's allllllll mine! (kinda)
If I wanna hang a picture, I will. It feels great!
I should probably start to unpack the boxes...
But, maybe I will enjoy a bath in my soaker tub first!
Nah...I should really start to unpack...
You would be surprised how much stuff you use in one day that
you take for granted when it isn't pack in a box, which is probably
under the other 50 boxes in the living room!
:)
